Hi all,

Wanted to check on something. I am planning on flying from Perth - Singapore on SQ then take another flight from Singapore - Dubai on EK. These will be on seperate tickets and I will have checked luggage.

- Will I need to clear immigration and collect my luggage and check in as per normal or can this be done inside the terminal when I get to Singapore
- If I have to exit to clear customs would 5 hours be a good amount of time to get all the immigration / re-checkin done or is Singapore quite efficiet and I can do it with less transfer time.

Am so used to just having everything on 1 booking so not familiar with the process.

Thanks.

Solution
No need to clear immigration. On arrival, head to one of the Transfer Counters inside the terminal. Give them your baggage tags and the onward flight details and they'll arrange the bags to be intercepted and re tagged for the onward flight.

5hrs at SIN would be plenty. Just an annoyance.

Hello all.
I am in the same situation flying from Per to Sin on SQ216. It gets me into Sin at 6.20am and I need to connect with QR943 departing at 10.45. This gives me 4hrs 25 between flights if on time. Hope it is enough as I am also hoping to spend some time in the QR lounge.
I certainly hope to be able to do what you are suggesting Archipelago as this would certainly facilitate my life!

I decided that it wasn't worth the risk for me personally. Changed my flights so I arrive into Singapore at 10pm and fly out at 9am. Gives me a good night sleep before the next flight.
