Ekka you could try not flying directly to avoid the torture. Faced with a 737 into the wind I would try going BNE-SYD-PER. I don’t know why BNE is treated this way with 737s but it is.My Brisbane friends talk about it a lot.

It is difficult, in fact largely, if not completely impossible to get from Brisbane to Perth or back with VA in an A330.

What an absolute load of rubbish. Do you have any evidence at all for this statement?

I have personally travelled on a VA A330 between BNE-PER on no less than 15 occasions this year.

In fact, if I wanted to take the lunchtime flight PER-BNE, I would not have had to fly on the 73H at all when flying VA PER-BNE-PER....

Pleb Status thanks for that about VA. I do tend to look up VA as an after thought when QF has dust. Really appreciate your input as I have lots of VA points.

I’ve flown a few times through MEL on the outbound as well to increase SCs and get an a330 on the MEL-PER leg
