Sitting in Qantas Lounge in Singapore and had to make some urgent family calls so went to the back looking for privacy so as to not offend anyone. (I am very quiet on the phone ) couple behind me with 2 kids and the mother gives the young boy a party horn! I could not believe it! Kid proceeds to ..,,, you guessed it... Blow.... I packed up and walked to the other side of lounge. should i have chastised the parents. Created a scene? WTF I could not believe it!

What do you reckon?

If you were on a QF flight you should have gone to the EK lounge. Fewer chavs/bogans* etc.

*Not that there is anything wrong with chavs/bogans..I'm one myself.:p

If the parents weren't too scary looking I would have had a word or 2 with them.

You do not want to be sitting near me when I start cursing....

We always called them Blow Ticklers, but they have a few other names according to Wikipedia:

Party Horn, Blow tickler- mmmm all I have to say is "ooh err missus".

And in Are You Being Served, episode "Oh What a Tangled Web" there is gossip about Captain Peacock's womanising and that when he took Rumbold's secretary into the broom cupboard during the Christmas party, he caught his Blow Tickler in the door.
