Is a Oneworld Sapphire member allowed to take a guest into an airline's business-class lounge, provided both people are travelling together? If so, are there any restrictions or traps to be aware of?

I'm currently a QPPS, and am planning an economy-class RTW trip with a no-status friend next year. I will be able to maintain QP Silver without problem, but would consider going for Gold if we could both get into lounges around the world. The itinerary is still under discussion, but at this stage we plan to use the following airlines:

QF, CX, BA, SCA (Iberia codeshare), Aer Lingus, AA, Mexicana.

I have searched through old posts and have found some useful information (eg. even if I do reach Gold/Sapphire, take my Qantas Club card with me as well!), but I can't find a specific answer to the partner question. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
