My wife and I, both seasoned arthritic athletic world travellers, are flying into Paris Orly on Air France in July and departing same day from CDG with Emirates. Could someone please confirm there is a convienient passanger/luggage friendly, shuttle service between the two?

I think from memory you have to take the RER B into Gare Du Nord and then it goes on to CDG. If my memory is correct and it is the same train, it is not a pleasant experience. The trip for Orly to Gare Du Nord was absolutely packed when we caught it and people were still trying to get on even though bags were everywhere. Basically it was just an ordinary commuter train. The trip from Gare Du Nord to CDG was much more pleasant.

Now all of that being said, I think Air France do operate a bus service from point to point every 30 minutes or so.

Air France Coaches operate a coach service which takes approx 50 mins from Apt to Apt at a cost of 15.24 Euro per person.

A cab would cost approx 45 Euro.

Thank you so much for the replies. I am sure we will take the coach..Oui?

Well, I would just take the train (have done it many times). Less than an hour from airport to airport. Fast and confortable. It may get a bit busy at rush hour, but outside of that, it's absolutely fine.

Coach will cost you more, take longer, and be more cramped.

But Chaqu'un à son gout!

While the subject of Paris airports is on everyone's mind, what is the preferred choice on getting TWO people from CDG (and back) to the Left Bank Hotel area. I get the feeling the difference in two rail / bus fares and a taxi is not worth the effort and the taxi is door to door. Perhaps some combination ??????

Anticipating wandering :D

Again thanks for the replies. While this may be my first post to this site I have been a long time observer of the fantastic travel knowledge of participants. The advice to others has made our world travels so much easier. Despite some bigtime glitches, we have been reliably informed, taken precautions and been able to react successfully. Oh and a valium and chardy or two for the SWMBO helps too. I'm hooked.
