Few years since posts but I would like some assistance, we are flying back one way after a cruise and our options seem to be a 0205 (ugh) Air NZ flight or a Qantas one at 0825 codeshare Air Tahiti Nui.

I can’t get the Qantas flight to work online, it tells me that it will be priced in xpf and then goes in a never ending loop and I have to log out and back in to clear it. Do I have to ring to book one, do I ring Qantas or Air TN? anyone know if I can book on Air TN direct and give my QFF number and earn points.

I also thought it might be easier and possibly cheaper to overnight in NZ near the airport and break the trip. Any tips would,be appreciated a this is our first big trip since covid, regular traveler before it but it’s been three years since I cancelled our last combined cruise and flights a few days before the world went into lockdown. Saying at the Hilton using up points too for a few nights after the cruise.

A one way from anywhere booked via QF, and possibly anyone, will be in the local currency, so it will be XPF from Papeete. We're looking at a one way flight from Jburg and it is in SAf rand. We flew AirNZ J to Papeete a few years ago at the start of a cruise after overnighting in AKL.

The QF codeshare flights are the only way to earn SCs and QFF points with TN, but I'm thinking you may not be able to book a one-way QF codeshare originating at PPT. I can't find it using a variety of searches on QF's website (even after getting past the diversion to the local/XPF site). When looking on EF, it only offers a QF codeshare when adding a return date.

Cheers,
Matt.

You can book one way from PPE --> NOU --> SYD with Air Calin in J for about $2.3k per person, charged in AUD (but would be with Air Calin Codes so no Points or SCs)

I’m looking at a return BNE/ PPT/BNE. My TA who is booking this as part of a trip for us says that the new schedule for Air Tahiti Nui is about to be released.

So suggest you wait a bit for that to happen, then try again as this may be why you’re unable to book the one way. I have in the past booked this one way PPT/BNE.

If you’ve got a little bit of flexibility with your date an AA partner award on TN is just 30K miles in Business. Of course you’re limited by award availability but worth a look.
