Would you like to write for AFF?

Australian Frequent Flyer is looking for a skilled writer with a passion for travel and loyalty programs to join our growing team!

This role requires you to write engaging and informative content including news articles, guides and relevant opinion pieces which would appear on our home page, social media channels and in the Frequent Flyer Gazette. You may also need to liaise with airline representatives and attend industry events.

While you would have the option to work from our office in Melbourne, this is a location-independent role. You can work remotely if you prefer.

We can tailor this role, including the amount and types of work, to suit the needs of the ideal candidate. For example, while we are able to offer a full-time position, a part-time or freelance position is also possible.

We will look favourably on candidates who:
  • Have great writing skills
  • Have experience travelling independently
  • Have a good understanding of SEO (knowledge of GEO is also a plus)
  • Actively participate in multiple airline and hotel loyalty programs
  • Have a high level of knowledge about the aviation industry and geography
  • Are active AFF members and participate on the AFF forum
  • Have a good knowledge of credit cards
  • Have a good understanding of social media and social media marketing
  • Can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Does this sound like you? If this is your dream job, please email your CV to [email protected] by 5pm (AEST) on Thursday, 22 May 2025.

In your application, please include a link to or an example of something you have written. (This doesn’t have to be a professional piece – it could be an AFF trip report, a blog post or a sample piece that you wrote today, for example.)

Please also tell us:
  • Your favourite loyalty program, and why it’s your favourite
  • Some examples of ways you’ve used your own frequent flyer points
  • The most obscure place you’ve travelled to
  • One thing you would change to improve AFF
  • Your AFF username (if you have one)

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.
