FAILED business airline Ozjet has quietly transformed into a charter operator and is donning new colours to help the recovery of Norfolk Island's tourism industry.

Ozjet disappeared from the public consciousness after its attempt to set up an all-business-class airline to compete against Qantas and Virgin Blue on key routes failed in March. But racing identity Paul Stoddart's Australian carrier was not dead.
One of its Boeing 737-200s has been ferrying passengers to and from Norfolk Island since May and is now being repainted to launch a new brand, Norfolk Air, under the auspices of the Norfolk Island Government.
The aircraft will sport the island's blue and green colours. Ozjet will employ cabin crew from the island, and will fly an extra weekly service out of Sydney from August 18, bringing the total to four flights a week from Sydney and three a week from Brisbane.

I noticed two Oz's at BNE maintenance on Tuesday on my way to Charleville. A third 737 may have undergone repaint but I couldn't read the logo.

Please Mr ex-Oz, can we use these to replace the Crash-8's on this western run?
