OWE Fares/Rules Changing on 10 July?

Does anyone know if the AUS AA call centre accepts Oz based CCs now? I will be ticketing on Monday.

The Australian office always has done, it is only the US that will not take them over the phone ( unless 'elite' )

The fares both go up and down depending on currency movements, demand, the phases of the sun and moon etc.

Hence why people keep shifting where they start their trips from!

This i understand, but i am really supprised. That would be almost the cheapest DONE4 starting point, less than even Ukraine @ 6500.
Any way we could confirm this ? would this info me in EF for example ? makes a difference to the booking i have in progress now.

Any news on AONEx prices from South Africa etc ?
I wonder is the AONE4 ex Phillipines will also go down... would be nice.

Humph.... makes me feel ripped off now though I did get my 20 sectors...

I was going to visit South Africa next to pick up a DONE5 there... I must say the idea still appeals as I've always wanted to visit CPT but have a little difficulty justifying now that ex-MNL is SO cheap.

Was on the phone what semeed like half the day booking all sorts of fares including starting to book my AONE5 ex JNB, i was going to book a second one back to back starting next year though but if MNL is going to be that cheap for a DONE4 its a better option for me.
So i am really interested to know if it drops.

The thing is... I really do want to see CPT after friends who went there on the MH mistake fare raved about it so much. But I can't help but feel stupid starting a new DONE exSouth Africa if MNL is going to be so cheap and I'm ending an existing DONE in MNL...:-| V efficient AA GSA in MNL too, who I've managed to establish a good working relationship with.

Current DONE5 is USD 8,001 ex MNL.
Could visit CPT, maybe the DONE5 will also drop.

The current thinking is repositioning to CPT on another fantastically good value BMI award after ending an upcoming tix in MNL: TG has a v handy BKK-JNB flight which has F plus I have to empty out my BD acct in preparation for the defacto devaluation come Miles and More takeover. Then spend a few days there, and come home on an ex-JNB DONE5.

I will reassess my options after looking at the new list.

Just getting my quote from AA tonight they mentioned they knew nothing of July 10 changes and the global explorer changes for on-line ticketing could be pushed back to Sept as apparently they may not be ready.

Not that i pay much attention to a what they would say.

DCIR22 ex-MNL last week = USD$38xx+++ and fast forward to today 1 July 2008 = USD$5453+++ A whopping increase of ~USD$1600

At least DONE4 ex-MNL remains the same.
