Over the top US style full body scanners in smaller airports now?

Looks like the amount of regional screening is set to reduce as government withdraws subsidies. Story here

Body scanners have no place in airports. Period.
They take longer (no matter the model) for each scan compared to any other more reasonable security method. Have massive blind spots. Alarm on sweat and fat, etc.


The back flipping on the opt out provisions when they were first being debated in parliament for rollout at international terminal is the reason I don't support the current PM (who was transport minster at the time and forced the stupid wastes of time, space and money through).
