GPS independently provides current location but Internet is needed to search for then display that location on a map (unless already downloaded for offline use) and also provide directions.
Or you have one of the traditional navigation devices that have their own offline maps onboard.

KBR has resigned as CEO, unsurprising given 2 major fails under her watch.
Good to see that unlike many companies such as Qantas etc and politicians, there are some who have some at the top who have moral character and accept responsibility and resign. It's rare these days. Seems more likely to accept responsibility if they are women.

I cannot believe how frustrating it is to be with out internet and phone lines. My meetings are up in the air. Most cannot contact me. Yes What’s app would be great but need internet. Optus outage: How it happened and what we know — 7NEWS.com.au

Used prepaid Vodafone in the past.
TPG prepaid has limited option of only 35 countries for international calls ... and you may not find some important for you in this list.

Therefore, in my opinion the best prepaid options might be:
▪️Boost (using Telstra network)
▪️or cheaper prepaid Catch (using Optus network).
▪️or TPG if you are happy with their limited international list.

Hi Marki,
Are you aware that this plan after 6 months will change to $30 per month?

50% off mobile plan fees for the first 6 months when you stay connected to your selected plan. New connections only.

There is a quite good review and comparisons... Have a look:

There are some compelling prepaid Telstra plans with international add-ons that are worth looking at. I will probably jump ship to them mid next year prior to my next big trip - I’m currently getting too good of a deal to drop them out of spite for now…(although they deserve it).
