I have been a distant follower for years, but not its time to dive in.

I love to travel, and use points, information, and intelligence to extend my travel beyond my actual budget.

I started as a backpacker, and I value experience over expense. However, with age brings comfort, and bunk beds are no longer for me. Now I favour a villa with plunge pool or a suite over tinea infested showers and the drunk early morning ravings of my roommates.

I have a partner who makes travel a triumph, and I have opinions for miles. Here I look for information, advice, camaraderie and shared observations. Over at <redacted link> I share my experience.

Looking forward to chatting with the equally obsessed.

Thanks for the welcome - especially from a senior member. I have enough knowledge to book some standard rewards flights (like 1st class on SIA to Europe as we did this year) - but look forward to increasing my knowledge, to make even better use of my points.

Most of the info is freely available here - what isn't can usually be discovered by asking.

You can also learn a lot at social events where unwritten tips/tricks/hacks are discussed - attendance is definitely worth considering if you are nearby, for both knowledge and the social side
