QF to LAX and JFK
TBA from JFK to CUN but prob AA or Mexicana
AA from CUN to SCL
LAN from SCL intra-sth america incl EZE and back to AKL then QF from AKL to BNE.
OK,
{The Australian American Express Charge card gives you Priority Pass access -
https://www.iplatinum.americanexpress.com/prospect/australia/FrontServlet?request_type=LoungeAccess with no co-pay. If you are eligible for the US Amex Platinum Charge Card program then you get access to AA/CO/DL/NW lounges but not Priority Pass)}
As always - your experience may vary - this is the best info I have.
BNE - No Access via any program in International Terminal
LAX - (Terminal 4) AA Club $50 Day Pass -
One-Day Pass. All The Admirals Club Benefits No Priority Pass access in T4 (Priority Pass access to US Airways, Alaska, Delta, Northwest, and Continental lounges however these are in other terminals.
JFK - AA Flights to CUN leave from Terminal 8 - AA Club $50 Day Pass. No Priority Pass Access in T8. - Mexicana Flights leave from Terminal 4 - 2 Priority Pass Lounges in T4 both before security ('The Oasis' & 'The Lounge')
CUN - MX Lounge available through Priority Pass. No day-pass option
SCL - Access to LAN Lounge via Priority Pass. No day-pass option
EZE - Priority Pass lounge in Terminal A ('SALA VIP DE LAS AMERICAS')
AKL - No Priority Pass or Day Pass Lounges.
So - if you really want lounge access the cheapest option (for lounges and assuming no AMEX card access) with the airlines you state would be to buy the basic priority pass membership for $99 + $27 per visit then pay:
LAX - $50 (AA)
JFK - $27 (Flying MX)
CUN - $27
SCL - $27
EZE - $27
So total price of $50+$99+$108 = $257 USD
You can save a few dollars or get a few rewards by buying Priority Pass online through one of their partner rewards programs
Priority Pass (prioritypass.com) Coupon Codes Coupons Cashback Rebates Deals Discounts Rewards Points Frequent Flyer Miles Offers @ RewardsDB.com .
Also note that if you buy the $249 version of Priority Pass you get 10 free visits so would cover the visits you have above plus give you 6 more you could use in Australia (Priority Pass gives you access to Virgin Blue's 'The Lounge' in domestic terminals) or on another international trip (in the same 12 month period of course).
Economics will be different if you aren't traveling alone.
All this is of course subject to change.
- As a complete aside, if you have a Diners Club Card (not the QF one, just the regular one) then you get access to Diners Club lounges which are almost useless since there are so few but it would get you in to a lounge at SCL for no charge - see
Diners Club International® Airport Lounges
