Only have a QC guest pass - how can I bring my wife into lounge???

I haven't flown Qantas for ~18months and was recently downgraded to Silver (where I was given a single guest pass to access Qantas Club). Since my Qantas points were about to expire, I booked an awards flight to the US next month for my wife and I and was just wondering if there is any way I can get her into Qantas Club with only my guest pass?

Generally a single guest pass, but they may be nice.

Correct. Status matched with virgin last year and haven't looked back. Now I'm moving to the US so definitely won't earn and thus used my points for our flight over there.

Sorry to be blunt but the answer is to fly QF more often and earn it or buy a J class ticket and pay for it

Buy a 30 day Admirals Club membership (the one day pass does not cover QF lounges) for her... $99 USD. That's about as cheap as it'll get without resorting to non-official methods. I think the Admirals Club membership also lets you guest 1 (someone else can clarify), so if you're going to multiple lounges this could be fairly worthwhile.

Dont think that is much of an answer if the likelyhood of further QF earn is close to nil, with the OP moving to LOTFAP.

You could always credit some AA flights to Qantas.

Why don't you post your travel dates and flights in the correct forum, and you may find someone is travelling over that time and can help you out.. If you are in SYD on DEC 23, I can guest someone into the J lounge for you, you will have to excuse my lack of wanting to sit round and having a drink as my bolly will be getting warm next door in F. PM me after you get some posts on the board your flights if that helps.

I'm missing something somewhere. I couldn't find the information relating to your company aligning it's travel to Virgin in your original post.

Because it's redundant in the context of the question, that being: "Having lost Qantas gold and with only a guest pass into lounge, how can I get my wife in?". My company's alliance with Virgin would have been about as relevant as adding that Accra is the capital of Ghana

I was just trying to explain to the nuff why attempting to warp the fabric of space time and relive the past year wasn't a feasible suggestion!
