Can someone advise why it is so extremely difficult to make an online check in with Virgin. My flight on Thursday 15th October 2015 at 12.05pm was confirmed a month ago but this afternoon I have spent 2 hours trying to check in on my IPad and have spent half an hour also on the phone to Virgin but as of tonight I can still not check in on line. Virgin must have the worst web site of any airline I know but it still should be possible to make an online check in even with the help of Virgin themselves? Virgin help could not even check me in, why? The suggested that I wait and do it at the airport but I want to avoid the queues and just make a bag drop, is this not possible? This is likely to be my last Virgin flight as it is soo simple to check in with Qantas and that is worth paying a bit extra for.

Have never and would never use online check-in. What's the problem? There are kiosks at the airports or if you have lounge access, do it there. Personally, I queue at the lounge desk and get my BP.

what is the error message? there are many different factors that can affect OLCI, not all due to the website.

the web site was upgraded a few months back - it takes approximately 20 seconds to check in online via mobile and download the boarding pass to passbook.
