I have OLCI'ed at home, printed the BPs, and forgotten to take them with me. It was no issue to have fresh ones printed in the (QF) lounge...I imagine there would not be an issue at a check in desk either.
If this is a QF-question, the barcode on the back of your membership card in many cases counts as your BP, after doing OLCI. Some ports it doesn't though.
Check in on line and then there is nothing to stop you using the check in machines at the airport to review seat availability and the printing off your boarding passes.
On QF there is certainly no problem doing this; I occasionally do it myself without issues. In fact, even when I do print my OLCI BP's, they often tear them up and print me new ones at checkin.
