I'm at T-24 for a flight tomorrow but the OLCI button is greyed out and saying "check-in at airport". Anyone else had trouble today?

Could it be an aircraft swap? If so, wouldn't the system just throw up the new seat map?

Also, it's two sectors, one of which is on a Q-400 for which you can't do advanced seat selection. Could that be the reason.

Or could this be my first ever Op-up <he asks optimistically but fully expecting to be disappointed>?

Strangely OLCI came good about 20 mins before T-24 for the second sector. Very odd. Thanks all for the advice.

Here's another quirk:

They don't allow advanced seat selection on the Q-400 and despite being sequence number 1 could only manage row 5. How odd.

Often QLINK block off forward seats for trim so you could always ask the QLink gate staff if they can unblock one for you prior to boarding.

Don't forget too that you can do OLCI from a mobile enabled device (QF Au dom flights), ie, mobile phone or ipod and wifi device or ipad and then use your QFF bar coded card to go straight to gate. Then scan your bar code at dep gate, get given the small piece of paper with seat # detail on it, and then thats it, onto the plane.
I have not done bag drop since QF took away a lot of their baggage counters from SYDd and MELd airports though.
So without hold luggage bags, anyone with a QFF card and mobile device can do OLCI on the road even, can't they?

... or on the railroad too, as I often do on my way to SYD airport. However, given the reduced cabin limits on the Dash-8s I expect that the use of HLO is not as prevalent as the 738s.
