oneworld - Visit Japan

An opportunity to purchase up to 5 internal flights when you travel to Japan on a Oneworld airline for 10,00Yen per sector.

Does anyone know the best way to purchase these, ie direct from Qantas (noting that I'll be buying the actual tickets to/from Tokyo via the Internet) or will a travel agent be interested?

Also, does anyone know whether you get SC's and/or FF points for these flights?

Thanks H.

Flying JAL you will get points + SC's :)

thats $100 a flight, flat price including taxes etc :) good value.
Just ring Qantas or JAL and buy direct from them i would imagine is the easy option.

If you do not have OW status just be aware that without the business class check-in the airports like NRT can be crazy ! so many people so leave yourself some time there, and maybe some extra time at KIX (Osaka) as well. Can't comment on other airports.

Thanks for the tip there Evan, my other thread starter is about getting QC Gold (Oneworld Sapphire) so I will even be able to access the lounge.

Oh and my original post should have read 10,000 Yen which you correctly valued at approximately $100 Aust.

Intersting that both one world and star alliance has the same deal

As OW sapphire you get access to JAL Sakura lounges, quiet nice in the locations i have been. Just a normal relaxing lounge, nothing to special but nice all the same.

Depending on your time frame just remember that the JR rail pass is better value, and just about as fast, and you still need to get tickets to/from all the airports so i am not sure how useful the product is.

a 14 or 21 day rail pass with the $ so high could be really well priced now, get a first class one :)

sample itinery from OW page..
