So I have done a bit of reading and I presume I already know the answer but -

Given Qantas now pretty much only use their own metal to SIN out of Perth, is it likely that they will provide an exemption to non-Qantas Sapphires when flying QF tickets on EK metal?

Cheers,
Poz.

Doubt it, One World privileges are only applicable on One World services, I have heard of similar nos being issued to those on QF coded FJ services.

Thanks Mwenenzi, that is the most useful guide I have seen on the subject. Qantas website's lounge page probably provides the same information but in a not so concise manner.

As I said I figured that would be the answer. It is just frustrating, all of the articles on the net say there is no real massive change to Qantas/Oneworld frequent flyers again completely disregard us over in the West who no longer get the luxury of a RedRoo service internationally except to SIN. Personally I like the transit through DXB option just wish we had a QF option.

Cheers,
Poz

Does Air Sydney know where the West is ? :p :)

I'm sure they do. They still like the internal mining flights over here, just obviously not that keen on flying the fluro vests outside of the state or country :)

ive just booked a flight to the UK in November from PER via MEL at the same cost of flying PER-DXB-DXB. Was suprised to be offered the chauffer service.
