Just noticed them offering fares to Male in my weekly fanfares email.

Cathay Pacific to Start Maldives Service from late-October 2013 | Airline Route – Worldwide Airline Route Updates
Subject to Government approval, Cathay Pacific from 27OCT13 is introducing service to The Maldives, with 4 weekly Hong Kong – Male service on board Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Reservation for this new service opened around 0200GMT 22JUL13.CX601 HKG1715 – 2125MLE 333 x125

nice to have a regular direct option apart from the charters they run out of HKG - I still like the lifemiles option for SQ in J though :):)
