I was transfering from my SIN-SYD flight to the domestic termainal at SYD this evening and I noticed a nice and shiny 744 in the hanger opposite T2 gate 2 which what I thought (I only got a quick glimpse) was a big "OneWorld" along the fuslage of the aircraft - much like the *A carriers have a dedicated *A paint scheme, except that this 744 still had the normal QF tail and other markings. The paintwork looked very fresh, so it may have been recently repainted...

Has anyone else seen it? Was I imagining it?

I've not seen the new paint job, but a recent newsletter from Oneworld mentioned that each of the members will be required to decorate some of their aircraft in the OW livery.

oneworld - News

All part of the 10 year OW celebrations, and a signal for greater co-operation between members, including access to fares and awards across the alliance from any member website.

That would be it - think QF 744 with the same 'OneWorld' on the front of each side of the fuselage just like the CX A340 in the article. Thanks Hawkeye :D

It's apparently VH-OEB and it will operate QF 73 today.
They will also be repainting an A330-200 with the OW logo.

Ditto that. Would have thought OW could have come up with something a little more exciting though...!

But I guess paint and time down etc is $$ and now is not a great time for any airline....

The QF aircraft looks nice with "Oneworld" painted across the fuselage.

I like the look too,I also think the BA version looks quite nice as well.

I'm not too sure I like it, but I guess I will get accustomed to it over time.

It looks a little busy with the 'Qantas' and 'Spirit of Australia' shoved under the windows ... surely the tail is enough of a giveaway as to which OW carrier this is ;)

Would love to see that oneworld logo double the size on the QF A380 covering both decks someday !
