HI there newbie here....
With the withdrawal of LATAM from the OneWorld alliance, are there any other RTW points award flight options to get from Buenos Aires/Sao Paulo/Santiago back to Australia? This is the missing piece of my puzzle.
Any direction would be great. Many thanks.

ps. Sincere apologies, I realise now that this is the Introductions page after posting (doh!). So here goes. Long time points collctor here...have about 1M points and spent about 1M more in recent years...essentially all from CC bonus points. Very keen traveller and really looking to connect into this web of knowledge. Again sorry for the mis-placed first post.

Has a date for LATAM's withdrawl from OW been announced? The QF website still allows selections with their flights well into 2020. The only other OW options from Sth America back to Australia would be via Nth America, and this may violate your RTW booking rules.

Qantas flies Santiago (SCL) to SYD and MEL

thanks Lynda, is this a code share LATAM operated flight? They are leaving the OW alliance in 2020. Excellent if it is a Q operated flight.

They are QF operated flights (QF28 to SYD) in additon to the code share LATAM flights. The LATAM flight go via Aukland, the QF SYD flight direct.

It keeps spitting an error message each time I try to book that leg of the ATW flight ;(

There may not be any seats available in the required fare class - you might need to call.

LATAM haven't said when they will leave oneworld, they have just said that they will (as a result of Delta buying a 20% stake).
LATAM flies to MEL, SYD and AKL a total of 13 times a week across all 3 ports from SCL.
Qantas flies to SYD from SCL 4 times weekly. This is due to increase when more 787s come online and replace the current 747 on QF27/28

That's easy:

QR from EZE or GRU - and QSuites if in J . Forget QF.

I scored EZE-xDOH-PER in J on an Award with QR earlier this year.

PS. A OneWorld Award is NOT a RTW fare. RTW is a paid fare - aka xONEy where x is L, D or A (economy, business, first) and y is 3-6.

a bit off topic but if you do take QF28 it often flies over the antarctic ice. Great view mid flight antarctic3.jpg

Looks like Qatar is ending its GRU-EZE tag from October. (Not sure whether this is permanent or not.) Still flying DOH-GRU.
