Any of the CX lounges would be a start, followed by QF.

Well they have access to all the CX and OW lounges - my choice would be The Wing, but YMMV

There are 9 oneworld lounges at HKG.
1 of them (The Arrival) can't be used for departures and can only be used by limited CX/KA pax.
2 are 3rd party operated (Plaza Premium for AA, AY, JL, MH, QR, S7 and UL and The Travelers Lounge for RJ) You can only use them when travelling on one of those airlines.
You'll be able to use the Plaza Premium Lounge with an MH flight.

These are the others in order of preference:
The Wing
The Pier
The Cabin
The Bridge
Qantas International Lounge
G16

They are all roughly similar. Unless you want sample some of the lounges then go to the lounge closest to your departure gate.

There was a time I would disagree with you regarding the Qantas Lounge.

I agree. The QF Lounge is streets ahead of what was there before.

For Business Lounge access, I struggle to find a difference between most of them. Like others, I'd look at your gate allocation and go from there.

Will find out on my next trip to HKG next month as this will be my first trip there in many years not as a WP or better. I still expect any of the CX lounges will be better though.
