Hi,

Just after some advice. I am looking at going to the UK next year flying Singapore Airlines. If the Pound stays sort of where it is, it will be cheaper to buy a one way fare to London, and a one way fare back to Australia then buying a return airfare. There is almost a $200 difference.....My question is, are you allowed to do this, or must you buy a return ticket ?

Cheers

Yes you can do it as long as there is no visa/immigration issues. I do that all the time for trips to Asia & NZ.

Given the volatility of the A$, the savings may not be there when you have to pay for the airfare. Also, when you buy your one way ticket from UK to Aus, you have to pay STG and there will be cost involved such as the 3% charged by credit card company.

Yes you can do it but for some destinations 2 one-way fares are not always cheaper than the cost of a return airfare.

By the way STG is Pound Sterling or £....
