Hi all,

Just wondering what the SC earn on the following itinerary would be. Hong Kong to Bahrain with a stop over in Riyadh.

The strange thing with this itinerary is that I am not able to select a seat for the Riyadh to Bahrain sector so I am assuming it is the same plane.

Given this would the SC earn be Hong kong - Riyadh then Riyadh Bahrain or would this flight be treated as a straight Hong Kong to Bahrain booking?

Thanks in advance.

That sounds like CX743 to me... in which case, it's a direct flight (with 1 stop), so it's treated as if it's all one non-stop flight.

You would earn HKG-BAH which would be 30/120 SCs whY/J.

If it is like the HKG-DXB/AUH-JED flight I do then you wont be getting off the aircraft.

I did this flight a few years ago........but at that time it was:

HKG-BAH-RUH-HKG not HKG-RUH-BAH-HKG

Has it changed?

Thanks for the responses. So for the purpose of qantas sc it's treated as the direct route mileage?

Through my booking on Cathay it is saying 4943 miles - which equates to a 140sc earn in business. Although when I look up he mileage direct distance between hkg and bhr it falls into he 120 sc category..

Is that under the "Asia Miles" column? If so, that number includes the cabin bonus (25%). The base miles is ~3962 - 120SC in J

Cathay has a few flights like that. Such as HKG-CNS-BNE only counting as a direct flight to BNE despite in QF terms the CNS-BNE sector would earn another 15/30/60. Also HKG-ADL-MEL I think.
