I reckon if you don’t get there by 5-6 am or earlier, you will have no chance!
My time and sleep are more valuable!

This promo is really targeting younger people + students who are going to Instagram/Tiktok/Youtube the event of cheap rewards (free advertising for VA!), or the unemployed who happen to have 1 point (very easy to have) and just want to have something cheap and can spend all day doing nothing.

It really isn't for AFFers who are generally well off already and already handcuffed by status.

Went past earlier, massive queue, hard no. Now hardly any queue, strolled in. Not much left but got queen sheet set, RRP $285 apparently. Happy with that!

Someone on OzBargain said they cut the queue at 700 people, but quite a few people had to leave for prior commitments

Wow you are so lucky. I joined the queue at 8am, got to the front at 2:15PM.

I got 12,900 points from the crane game. After also waiting in line for the crane game I was out of there about 2:45pm. I was so over waiting I didn’t even think about the line. Knowing this I should have doubled back and gone in again.

Anyway I am happy I got the points and unhappy they did a poor job of line control. I’m sure plenty people cut in line because the pace of moving slowed right down after 10AM.

I didn’t think there was anything slower than than the non-status T2 bag drop at SYD… but here we are.

The difference 30 minutes make. Would have saved me 2 hours and possibly better chance at a better prize. Someone just before me got the final international flight available.
