While the hype and focus is on the introduction of the 789, the indomitable VH-OEB will be operating a RTW private charter with 4 class service

This is probably the last chance to experience the QF747 F cabin with F service before it is gone forever

$78000 for F .....

I dont think any SC will accrue

I have tried the QF 747 in Y trans Au PER - SYD and J BNE - SYD (dom pax on int service), (few years back now), not a bad bird to fly in J that one.
But at Aud$78000, too much for me at that price.
QF/partner F lounge access to all cities that it flies into I would expect for that price.

I went and had a look at it - never can resist looking at a travel itinerary. It actually is ok value - some exciting places for 3 weeks and the 78k covers everything - air travel, accommodation, meals, alcohol and sight seeing (and you get points). However I prefer more in depth experiences - a few days in each place would not be enough for me.

I did the 747 in first a few times when it was still running, but having experienced the new generation F suites in EK, QF, SQ, EY it would be hard to go back......it was a good product in its day though.

Can't help but think you'd be able to do it for around $30-40k pp (albeit without the benefit of direct flights and all the convenience of the tour company - although often having the same muppets for three weeks can be a massive downside ...).

Yes a superficial look itinerary is not my cup of tea and would not like if a fellow passenger was a Haughty Miss Piggy!

not sure. A standard F round the world airfare is 20k and you have some quite interesting connections there, so you have to pay for the convenience of that. Then you add in nice accommodation, transfers by car for F passengers to and from accommodation - that is normally a couple of hundred each way. So easily can see that figure, although diy can generally work out cheaper (and more fun) . It is being with the same muppets for 3 weeks that is a disincentive for me as well
