How about the Osprey Porter 46 Travel Pack, 1.10kg.

The Caribee is also available from Myer, but as an "ION" branded bag, but the pictures are identical, if you're in a real hurry.

Thanks heaps guys.

Lots of great recommendations.

Would the Osprey Ozone and the Samsonite 72 hour be considered "carry on" for Virgin Australia international, and Delta domestic flights in the US?

As my girlfriend now wants one with wheels.

Thank you

Whilst I love wheels for the bigger non HLO bag, they are a big waste of weight for hand luggage. EG, my Caribee weights around 800 gms. A case with steel frame and wheels, can take up to 25-50% of allowable weight.

One thing is that if 1 bag has wheels, the non wheeled one can rest on when walking through a/ports.

The Samsonite 72 is:113 linear cms, 1.5 kgs weight (it's light!)

Virgin Australia International:115 cms with maximum weight of 7Kg
Delta Domestic: 114 cms with, going by the delta Website there is no mention that I can find of max weight..

Another thought is that bags are cheaper in the US. I was looking in HNL at Ross Dress For Less where they have a lot of cases of all sizes. I was so tempted by a Wenger Neo Light. $360 or so reduced to USD59.
