I'm playing with the QF multicity tool to see what I might be able to book for a trip to Hawaii and then the AKL Bossreggie lunch. At this stage, commitments in Hawaii (I *love* the sound of that) look like we'll have to go directly to AKL from KOA/HNL.
I just put BNE-HNL, KOA-AKL into the multicity tool, and got back $8951 for Y class seats.
QF BNE-SYD-HNL .. KOA-HNL on Hawaiian, HNL-SYD on Jetstar, and SYD-AKL on QF.

And now I can't get the multicity tool to give me *any flights* to HNL late in the second week or even into the third week of April. Interesting. I know the first two weeks of April are school hols in Qld. This is making going via LAX and YUPPs to/from HNL look cheap ...
