On the topic of old Qantas stuff, I still have some of the kids packs they gave out on international flights when I was a kid.

I remember those, that's going back a decade or so now.... Actually somewhat looked forward to seeing if PX/QF/NZ ect. had brought out new kids packs when the family went on our int. trips out of LAE via. POM every 6 months as a child.

Wonder if I still have any of the old OF stuff around....

When I saw the pic earlier, it was QF lapel pins ...
Can't see anything but a BBC news item about stowaways.
I still have my triangular QF lapel badge which was part of the QP renewal kit ... (sigh).
Recently wore it on my linen jacket when transiting SIN but whilst it passed thru numerous DOM/INT security scans, it was useless in attracting the right attention from QF staff for an upgrade....

My re-post of Fifa is now showing the Somali stow-away!

It seems like it is showing whatever the last uploaded image is on the forum via the mobile app. All the images in this thread, except the one on Qantas kids packs, are of the Somali stowaway for me. It looks like Mattg did it via the website so he wasn't affected.

All I can see is a picture of a large kitchen with about 15 white deck chairs.

Maybe it's a subtle message that QF is in a financial sense like the Titanic?

GPH, do the old QF items you have kept have a monetary value these days for collectors?

Yes. Old aircraft/airline memorabilia does sell. In the USA there are several airline collectable shows/conventions

Mwenenzi, were those pens given out to F ior J pax at some stage? They look very well and interestingly designed. Excellent pickup, thank you.

Not sure, when this issue with photo uploads is " enhanced" (lol) you can see what I have.
It must be quite old, I can't even recall when I got it, sometime in the 80's I think.
There is a disposals type shop in Bne that has a few items of as new condition cutlery, pens and the like from Ansett .
I picked up a spoon from there for a collector in France.
