I'm not sure whether this should really fit into to other posts about QF catering...but...somewhat amused on todays' BNE-CNE 1520 flight in J class to be offered a steak sandwich, which was 80% bread roll, accompanied by one of those fluffy-crusty white brick rolls and a tiny fruit salad...this really is the oddest "meal" I have had on QF domestic J class - almost ALL bread!!!!!

At least the roll encasing the slithers of steak werre multigrain and this relatively low glycemic..."would you like bread with your bread, sir, for your $855 fare???!"

I recently received a bread roll on a BA flight that was baked in 2004.
It must have been in a deep freeze for a while!
