Flew Per-Mel yesterday, with Mrs RM on points. Had the bookings linked and a couple of days earlier had been in the lounge and asked the desk to move seat allocation for the flight. All done apparently but when looking on line the bookings had not moved and Mrs RM seat was shown as available to me!
Anyhow, went to airport and at check in they could not initially find MrsRm's booking, then insisted on moving forward to the earlier flight even with Mrs RM on a points booking. This took at least 10 minutes and several people.

Ended up in a centre seat in R22 on a 737!

Anyhow, I have a feeling that the booking engine had stuffed up and they were so insistent as MrsRM's seat was allocated elswhere.

Any thoughts?

very strange when you could not see seat selection online did you try to reselect?

No...I thought they would sort it out at the airport....And they did by moving us to another flight.
I always thought that points bookings were non moveable.

Anything is movable if they want to move you or if it works for them to move you - not the other way around...
