Hi guys,

Many members uses websites like Matrix - ITA Software to help plan trips and see all their flight options.
However, itasoftware does not include many of the LCCs in their search results. (Now, I know many members would view this as a good thing!, but I'd like those results nonetheless.)
I trialled the OAG website http://www.oagtravel.com/Products-Services/Online/OAG-Flights and it worked really well but I baulked at the annual subscription price of AUD $215

Recently I noticed that the free Blackberry app, Blackberry Travel uses Worldmate which in turn is powered by OAG. This same Worldmate app is also available on iphone and Android.
So........I can use my phone app to see all these flight options, but none of those apps will work on a non-mobile device. I'd like to use it on my laptop

Does anybody know of any alternate, comprehensive Flight search software, or alternatively, how to get Worldmate to run on Windows 7?

AFAIK Worldmate has been rolled into Blackberry travel and that can be accessed on your PC/Laptop as well as the phone. I just did a quick search for some UK flights and although they were showing flybe they did not show Easyjet, Ryanair or BMI baby. Looking at flights to DPS from PER it is not giving either Jet* or DJ.

Couldn't click on Register, but had to hit enter for some reason... Must be a blackberry thing.

ValuAir (VF) is coming up as Nevis Express for some reason.

Hi Alien,
2 things.
1. On the Flight search part of Blackberry Travel both Jetstar and Virgin show as options between PER and DPS. So do the options for GA, QF and QZ. I also see the Flybe and EasyJet on the route between IOM and LPL. Are you sure you are looking at the right thing?
2. Could you show me exactly how can I access this on my pc/laptop? There really is no link or download that I can find. The mobile downloads don't execute on windows.

Hi Alien,

Yeah it seems that Blackberry Travel on https://travel.blackberry.com/trips/login.html is powered by Expedia............so no LCC options.
Yet Blackberry Travel / Worldmate on the smartphones is powered by OAG.

Looks like OAG has that licence locked down pretty tight and will only allow desktop use through their own subscription. Maybe another intrepid user will give us another idea?

I googled a lot to find an alternative, but unfortunately nothing etter than OAG could be found.

Old thread but I have just registered for worldmate from my pc and then logged in and did a search.
It seemed to use Kayak. Not sure what this means... but it didn't look like there were any low cost carriers coming up in the searches I did.
On the iphone though- LCC galore. But no prices or booking functionality. So looks like it will give you an indication of LCC route timing but not costing. You would then have to go back to the interweb to try and piece together the flight.
