How bizarre!

Nose-first landing due to pilots 'not pulling lever hard enough'

TAIC found there was nothing mechanically wrong with the plane.
"The nose landing gear did not extend because the pilots did not pull hard enough on the handle that should have released the uplock," it said.
"If the uplock had released, the nose landing gear would have lowered under gravity and locked down."

Strange indeed. Haven't read the full report bit how experienced were the pilots to make such a rookie mistake?

Reading between the lines - if neither pilot knew how hard to pull, was this the first flight on this type for both of them? Surely that wouldn't be the case?

If in doubt you'd think they would have given it a good yank to see if they could get it to work.
