I am looking to book a return NYC to London flight using my qantas points. Qantas has availability on American Airlines but the points required are 45,000 and I currently have 44,090! It's just a short trip to sort out my US Visa and will probably be on short notice so it would be really helpful to fly using my points instead of paying an expensive last minute fare. Is anyone aware of any current promos or deals that may help? I have already put a call out to my family for a points transfer, to no avail unfortunately.

Thanks in advance!
