Hi, I'm travelling via FF points Tokyo - Heathrow (JAL)
and then paying for an Aer Lingus from Heathrow - Dublin.

I have a few questions:

a) Do I have to go through immigration in Heathrow or can I transit and go through immigration in Dulbin?

b) I'm flying business class and hear that there might be a seperate immigration check in line for bus class in Heathrow, is this true?

c) Can my luggage be checked through all the way from NRT to DUB?

d) How long should I plan to connect in Heathrow? 2hrs? 3hrs?

Thanks!!

a) I think JAL arrives into T3 in LHR and Aer Lingus departs from T1 so I do not think you will need to clear immigration in LHR but you will need to go through security again.

b) From memory premium passengers in LHR are given express departure/arrival cards.

c) I am not sure of an interline agreement between JAL and Aer Lingus.

d) Generally ~2 hours should be enough but as you are on 2 separate tickets and the possibility that you will have to collect luggage and check-in again for Aer Lingus flight I would allow more time. Also if the flight is delayed you are not covered for missed connections and re-booking on another flight is at the airlines discretion.
