Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

if you are doing an award booking on line - you need to leave off the postcode (there is a message saying non-US/Canada do not put zip or postcodes in). Otherwise if you are still having a problem you can call their web assistance line. (Iwas prepared for them to tell me I'd have to pay via BNE, but they are fine with AU credit cards it seems now.)

super il try that now, didnt see that message about zip code, in my defence it was quiet late after a long week at work

many thanks

I know - I missed it even in the middle of the day!

If you do ever get caught requiring the call centre to process a booking, you can put it on hold then call the UK service centre. They charge GBP5 IIRC, which is significantly less than the AUD60 for BNE.

Thanks for the heads up on this

i think it comes out on ticketing, which might not be instant. i got an email from them an hour or so later.

Apologies Euro, misread your earlier post.

My flights took about 19 hours or so to ticket and have points deducted. I haven't received any email yet confirming ticketing from AA, however the status is 'ticketed' and if I click on the print my interary link, the resulting popup does display the ticketing # (Starts 001).

If you are travelling on QF, give them a call and ask for the QF booking reference - you'll need to provide the AA ticketing number. Once you've got it, you can then use Manage My Booking to view the booking & select seats (across most, if not all Amadaeus linked carrier websites it seems).

You can also swap out your AA frequent flyer # for your QFF # if need be online.
