Not Really a Bulgaria Trip Report, but Maybe

It was time to move onto our final destination, I will admit that by this time I thought my head was going to explode, too many miles, too hot, but Weiz was cooler and we would be there for 4 nights and catch up with friends as well.

View from our room, always a church and soccer field in view in Austria!

Not our hotel, but we did eat here, probably the best meal I had on the trip, simple oven baked chicken dish.

Few rally car shots and a beautiful Benz, then down into Slovenia, detour into Maribor to show the boss the Hardly Normal shop that I discovered last year, being Sunday it was closed..
Queue for the first toll booth in Croatia, which we bypassed and then pretty much home. Croatia Airlines to Frankfurt, (new for us), then Oman to Muscat, onto KL, then MH to Sydney in an old A330, not a fan...... Very quickly through immigration/customs, completely the opposite from last time in April.
probably find others I missed, as I said before, I was taking a lot of shots with my ipad on "live". not good, think I have sorted it now.

Unfortunately my Hungarian mate Tibor Erdi Jr did not finish, he won the championship last year, and won the last event in Ypres

I have action shots on my camera, so that will take a while to fiddle with and show, if anyone is really interested.

P.S., no jokes, these much maligned Lada cars are very quick!

Cast Iron..Interesting stuff , almost ever lasting and allows an interesting view of history with the places it is found.
Like many before me, I have placed many hundreds of manhole covers that will still be in use in another hundred years or more
Early days I would go to the actual foundry , a very atmospheric place that still used coal to fire the foundry…memories….

Well, you've planned one of my 2027 trips ... thanks :) . Any shots/comments on Croatian Air and Oman Air (especially)?

I'm at a stage where I don't want to fly low cost flights anymore, unless there is an exceptional reason.

Croatia were fine, it was an A320, so 3x3 with separate J and the normal middle seat free.

OU416, bought as a code share Lufthansa flight.

I paid extra to be down the front, not J though, this area had many free seats, also I'm sure I paid for extra weight in cabin, just in case as my camera gear is quite heavy, remote site, so bus to terminal in Frankfurt, although a very short drive.
You could buy food and drink, water was the only thing offered for free, that I can remember.
No IFE, left on time, arrived a little early, bags took a while, but that is Frankfurt. Access to lounge in Zagreb due to Turkish status.

I like Oman, except their ife! J class on 787's, Apex Suites, good leg room. KL to Muscat can be on a 737, reclining seats, I wouldn't happy with that.

I did have an issue initially, I wasn't sure I was going to get on the MH plane In Sydney, this seemed to be an issue with the 2 airline computer systems not talking to each other.

jeez, my spullin is troucious...

The line of waiting vehicles wanting to cross from the Romanian side was kilometres long. Must have been over a hundred semi trailers, we gave up counting.

We went the other way from Romania to Bulgaria. Can't remember how long we were stopped for but it was quite a while. No barriers on the side of the bridge...obviously work place health and safety is not a big deal there!

It's crazy to think that there are so few crossings between these countries...

"There is a total of eight border crossing points that connect Bulgaria and Romania. Of these, four are road crossings which serve as essential gateways for trade, tourism and transport"

"There are four other border crossing points, although these are not for road transport."
