Hi All,

Our company is moving to a Travel Agency for all
Business travel as opposed to us being able to book ourselves directly 😭😭.

For airlines this is fine as you still get points and status credits BUT Hotels I have always found troublesome in this regard so a few questions:

1: Do any hotels/hotel chains give points or status credits if not booked directly?
2: Have you ever got points/credits when your travel agent has booked the hotel for you?
3: Are there any large Travel agencies you know of who you can book through where you do get points?

Interested in any other peoples experience with hotels being booked via the their work.

In my previous job we had to use a corporate travel agency (well their online system) to book flights and hotels and I always still got reward nights and points, so I wouldnt worry.

When you check-in at the hotel just verify that they have your reward # on the booking and if not have them add it.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Ditto. If it’s a Corp TA, they’re actually “booking direct” on your behalf - just so long as they not going through some 3rd party platform.

My previous experiences, your Corp TA profile usually alllows you to enter your various loyalty programs so those details cut across. The only one I found a bit fiddly was ALL Accor. I‘d get the points and status recognition but rarely able to see bookings in my ALL profile.

Agree with all that - especially about Accor! Even before ALL.

@Maccaj73 just make sure the TA hads all your club type memberships and try to get to know them so they know your preferences.

As long as it’s not using Expedia or the like you should be fine !
