I will redefine an earlier post I did in this forum, want to visit Washington, New York and Boston in spring, probably early April then move on further much further North with departure back home early June. I am looking on advice as to what type of weather you may have experienced this time of year, and any recommendations of any places to stay in any of these three cities. Think we will stay a minimum of one week in each so maybe not hotels, maybe use Airbnb?

Regards

I have just booked AKA White House in Washington self catering apartment came highly recommended We will be there July next year

Washington usually fine.nippy in mornings but a delightful time to go as you may get to see the cherry blossoms blooming.
NYC-again usually beautiful days but a bit nippier in the mornings and evenings.probably need an extra layer going out at night.here I would warn about apartments.short term rentals are illegal.yes plenty get away renting over the internet and have no problems but do you want to arrive there and find no place to stay or worse come back to the apartment one day and find your belongings on the street.it does happen and indeed happened to the mouth-Derryn Hinch.
Boston not that much different.Great time for lobsters.

But beware of a late storm.I remember well driving in to southern Vermont one fine beautiful late April day.Awoke the next morning and it was overcast.Within 15 minutes of us leaving to drive north we were in a fierce snow storm.Had to wait until a snow plough came and then followed it all the way to the southern New Hampshire border and kept driving south.
