I am planning Sydney-Singapore Singapore- Los Angeles Los Angeles-Singapore Singapore-Sydney.The question is , i have looked on Webjetsg and can't find any direct flights between Singapore and Los Angeles. The majority seem to go through Tokyo.Does anyone know if there are any direct flights from Singapore to Los Angeles.

This is the only one I could find on EF. Looks like it does not operate daily, and is quite possibly an all business class config, judging by the fare buckets listed. I don't know much about these things but ISTR reading that it needs to be this config in order to have the legs to make the trip nonstop (but I reserve the right to be wrong with that recollection :p).

I'm pretty sure it's SQ only, and J class only (all J seating A340-500). Same a/c as SIN-EWR.

Excuse my ignorance but what is "EF" and "ISTR" You mentioned in your reply.

The SQ A340-500 is a 98 seat all business class plane so it probably would not show on the search unless business class was in the search parameter. It is a very nice ride either way between SIN and LAX.

Both are acronyms; EF is Expert Flyer (a website) and ISTR is "I seem to recall" ;)

If you do a site search for definitions and abbreviations there is a thread which lists them all.
