And if i do can i get the chance to share the knowledge from the jump seat? With all the technology available I'd love the call to come across the cabin " Does anybody have any string on board?"

All the technology...actually isn't able to solve this problem. It can do it by trial and error, but it can't give you the 'set' of all possible solutions.

Emirates now pip QF8 by 11 miles :shock: (EK's 8588 miles vs QF's 8577 miles) for a DXB- Panama City flight (in which case I've done 2 and 22 on an amended Wiki list).

Many people don't understand why EK would open a ULH flight to Panama with that size aircraft.
I'm thinking it might be to spite QF who started using the 380 on DFW a few days before they had first planned and beat EK to being the first 380 DFW service.
