It's been a while since I've travelled... a bit "rusty" as a certain CEO would say....
And a lot has changed in the two years since I last was travelling monthly.
But I've decided to do a quick little "get-back-into-travel" getaway over the Easter break
.

Has anyone booked Value (Long Term) carpark online at Melb AP recently?
  • I'm trying to book for three-days at the Melbourne Airport Parking - Value (Long Term) carpark.
  • When I go to the website and put in my dates/details etc... it's only offering me At Terminal Carpark options.
  • There does not seem to be any way to choose or book a Value carpark.

  • My first thought that maybe the Value park is FULL.
  • But on my At Terminal options page, it's returning some of those options, but displaying them as FULL, and others as bookable.
  • So I presume if Value Car Park was full... it too would show in the returned results.... as FULL.
Glad for any feedback others may have.... Like I said... it's been a while.... still finding my travel legs again :)

There's no need to book the value carpark. Just turn up as you will pay the same price as you would by doing it online ($12 per day). You can tap in using a credit card of your choice even if you haven't got an online booking.

They probably gave up on online booking as they were offering full flexibility with online booking after Covid.

Yes... that was my other hlaf-thought... a bit frustrating they don't even mention that anywhere on their website... (that I could find).

I prefer to book my parking online ahead of time to ensure I have at least a space reserved... I remember in The Before Times that even Long Term could get FULL during peak periods.

Thanks for the reply. I'll rock up this weekend and try my luck at the Value gate :D

As an aside, prices for terminal parking are through the roof. Three days was $86 two weeks ago. Now $119?!
Yeah... totally... hence why I was searching for the Value carpark which is actually reasonable pricing IMO. I live far down on Morn Penn and not a lot of practical options for getting to AP other than driving yourself.

Stumbled across this looking for something else, for what it’s worth it was bookable about 2 weeks ago, I booked 5 days over Easter.

Value parking over Easter sold out on Sunday night.
Post automatically merged:

There are geotechnical investigation works happening in the carpark which render about 20% of it out of use.

Thanks for the info on the SOLD OUT "over Easter" for Value.

Makes sense given the perfect storm of school holidays, Easter/ANZAC 3xshort weeks, and massive pent up travel demand for the fine people of Melbourne.

For what it's worth, I was a long time user of United Parking near Tullamarine. Courtesy transport in each direction, and your car is under cover and in reasonably secure parking.

Easter parking at airport & local area is always hard. Often fully booked on and off airport

For several decades I parked (undercover) at JetPort parking. Over the years had several locations in the same general area. And (red) self parking multi level at 189/D South Centre Road Tullamarine for a while. (Now ACE parking)
It's with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that Jetport Airport Parking will be closing its doors temporarily and going into hibernation mode at the end of March 2022, due to Covid's impact on our industry.
Guess some will take over the building/area they last used
