No status recognition on HA?

Hi everyone,

Firstly, my apologies if this has been answered already, but my search yielded very little.

I am flying HA to OGG via HNL in order to get married in September. I am VA SG and while I understand I can use the NZ lounge in Sydney, I can't seem to find any status recognition when flying with HA.

Is it just an earn & burn arrangement between HA and VA?

It's the same with AA who can also earn and burn on HA.
Lounge access is for class of travel only at their international destinations.Even their elite members don't get it flying Y-
