So i was looking at some of the QF codes and they include the Singapore and BKK routes of emirates and i can buy business class tickets through Qantas.com with a QF flight number, but not first? Is there a way around this?

I found first class seats on a QF flight no on zuji.com.au but I didn't compare the fare though...

Oh thanks ill look! I always thought to book codeshares you needed to book them on the carriers website. thanks :)

In fact the QF codeshare flights from MEL to LHR I've booked through zuji.com.au turned out to be cheaper than what was on the QF website (and I save on credit card fees).

Let me know how you go - even though I won't be paying for a first class seat anytime in the near future...

Thanks ! Its not for me ( i wish). My parents are travelling to Bangkok and have enough QF points for 1 F return on emirates and as such would pay for the other and my father being obsessed with SC etc etc has demanded i find him how to ensure he gets them!

Think now with a lot of F points availability to Sing and BKK with emirates i may have to give it a go once i save some points myself up!

Would a FASA be more worthwhile?

How often is zuji cheaper?

It is strange - Qantas still doesn't have F to Nairobi on its own site, (only Y and J), but I can find Qantas fares on Travel/Zuji. Obviouly emirates metal from Dubai to Nairobi, but code shares. Prices are now aligned - earlier in the year f on QF was almost double emirates fare going SYD to Nairobi via Dubai in F. I actually prefer to book via Qantas site if only a few hundred $ difference, as I feel I will be looked after better if something goes wrong (probably silly). You would think by now Qantas would be able to offer the fares on their site, rather than paying commissions. On the other hand maybe it is such a tiny number that it is really low priority to get it done.......

AFAIK there are still issues with some fares to Africa, just give the premium team a call and let them know about it, they can report it to someone else. They actually have been very very slack in fixing up these issues and pricings.

Ok thanks :) I still have time on my side before I want to book but really thought by now it would all be sorted out. I initially thought Qantas wasn't going to offer an F option, but then I found the fares on travel. Happy now can get status credits!

Just in case anyone is interested it is now possible to book F SYD- Nairobi via Qantas' site with Qantas code shares. Haven't waited patiently for many months, I finally e-mailed them in August and had a reply saying they would pass it on their web team and then another email saying it would be fixed in October. Fares are also pretty much the same between Emirates and QF, so I am patiently waiting for the days to tick by until my dates come within range and I can book. :) I plan to book on Qantas metal one way to Dubai and Emirates the other, so I can compare.......

HAS the EF/QF Code share been dropped on the SYD BKK Route? put in multiple November dates and cant get a QF code for the return flight to aus on EK Metal??

They're still showing on EF in November as QF8418/9.
