Had a bit of a weird situation with a reward booking and wanted to get advice as to whether this is a significant problem. Booked a reward booking on my daughter’s account for my wife and myself. During the booking a message popped up that payment needed more validation, I was expecting a text (the card used was an additional on my wife’s Amex) but the transaction went through and got a booking ref. Usual message that booking not confirmed until the other airline (Iberia) confirms but with minutes get a confirmation and mail and account have ticket numbers. So at that stage thought all ok and flight appears both on AA and IB.
However just checked and there is no pending transaction on my wife’s Amex account. Should I be concerned or is it just a matter of time for transaction to come through?
