No online functionality for xASA's? (e.g. seat selection)

Hi - couldn't find this mentioned anywhere so thought I would ask this here.

Two weeks ago I booked 2xFASA from LHR-MEL. At the time and within the few days after I was able to select seats, edit details online etc.

Yesterday I noticed that all fields except for Dubai Connect/Chauffeur Drive have been greyed out (e.g. cannot change seat selection). On calling Qantas, the lady on the other end said that with ASA's, all changes including seat changes etc. have to be made over the phone.

Is this a new policy? Surely this is unnecessary inconvenience on the end of QF staff?

I have a couple of domestic JASA's in MMB and I'm still able to make changes, seat selection online etc.
 
I have 4 upcoming JASA flights, all are available for seat selection.etc.

What day is it for? Maybe we can have a look on EF for you to see if we can notice anything.
 
I have FASA from LHR next month where I can't now change seats (not that I want to) but I have been able to change previously online.
 
I have just realised, I have two bookings now that I cannot do anything with.
eg: select seat, cancel booking, add hire car, anything at all.
The strange thing is, both of these bookings were created from vouchers.
QF Premium has NOOOO idea why and how to fix it. They said that "there may be a computer glitch".
Um, you think :confused::confused:......????
 
My FASAs for next year MEL-LAX-MEL and MEL-LHR-MEL are still all fine and I can make seat selections online
 
Functionality was greyed out on my LHR-SYD JASA about a month back.
My SYD-HKG Y+ASA remains unchanged.
 
I have been having similar issues, and QF IT know about them, but don't know what's causing them. Some bookings are fine, others are buggered. They are investigating.

I have had similar statements made when I've called the QF Platinum desk. On occasion I have found that waiting for half an hour and calling back again later will yield a different, and usually more useful (not to mention truthful), answer.

I would much prefer an honest, "I'm sorry mrpooky. I don't know what the problem might be, but I'll report it to my supervisor" than a made-up excuse that bears no resemblance to reality.

I had 3 bookings created from residual vouchers that I could not maintain or see flights booked.

Called Qantas to have the voucher remarks removed and then noticed that the Change, Select Seats and Cancel buttons were greyed out. Called Qantas again who said it was a known issue and would have to raise the issue for someone in back office to follow up. I checked again a few days ago and the 3 bookings are now fine.

I hope I do not have the same issue again with residual vouchers.

It was more site wide than the vouchers... and has been fixed, at least for now :p
