No More International Lounge Access on Jetstar Flights (except QF codeshare/JQ business max)

I've read the changes but would appreciate someone here confirm I'm understanding correctly...

I'm Silver FF and a Qclub member so I always give my complimentary lounge pass (as Silver FF) to my partner for when he's travelling alone. It's been very beneficial for him.

But under new rules, he won't be able to use the pass without me travelling with him, right??

If yes, my complimetary pass is now basically useless: if he travels with me, he comes into the lounge as my guest. So when do I ever use the complimentary pass?

And from next year, I'll get two useless passes as a Silver FF?
Yes same boat here. And glad this was cleared up by members here. I also have two passes that will be expiring in Oct. Do I literally stand at the airport with a sign saying i have a free pass for someone flying to the same destination as me? :D

Maybe arrive 2 hours earlier go straight to the gate and carry a sign board :D

Might I suggest you continue to post to the lounge pass give away thread but add your flight numbers and dates as the crucial limiting criteria if you wish to get them used.. If and when you have new flights, I expect you may be able to edit your post to add new flight and/or drop any flown flight if pass(es) still available.. I know it's coughbersome but rather than lament their otherwise uselessness.

Others might be able to suggest a new forum setup similar to the lounge meet up that might be easier to offer and seek lounge passes through based of flights.

Yes, of course I plan to . Appreciate your reply.

Although I could be wrong, I can't imagine many, if any, P1s would fly JQ, or that they would even still find yet another F lounge visit to be exciting.
I have a friend who’s P1, but entirely from domestic travel.

So when they go international (mainly for holidays) the F lounge is still a treat! Not sure JQ would be first preference, but they might take the 787 in business somewhere. Plus of course on holiday it’s fun for their guest in the F lounge!

We have done Syd-Sgn in J* J class twice as Qf dont fly this destination. It was nice to be able to get a good feed in the Syd F lounge prior to this late afternoon flight. Sadly this is no more unless you are P1 or CL. This has been my only J* international flights to date.

We were contemplating flying J* Mel-Cmb next Feb and load up in the Mel F lounge prior but fortunately didn't as we mx to get 2x UL Syd-Cmb J seats so will enjoy the Syd F lounge prior :)

Do you have lounge access at SIN for JQ if booked on Business Max?

These rules are only affecting access to lounges through Qantas status.

The rules aren’t affecting lounge access through class of service or ticket inclusions.

So business max will get you business class lounge access in Singapore (class of service/ticket access). But if you happen to be platinum, you won’t be able to visit the first class lounge (status benefit).

By printed form only to 3 Australian and 5 International lounges

Note that BNE currently isn't listed (possibly due to renovations) and I don't think the CNS Escape lounge has ever been included.

Previously I understood there was also some unwritten/ bonus access for QF elites in CHC, WEL and ICN. Not sure if this has survived recent changes.

P1 here.

Jetstar business max is my preferred option to get to Tokyo based on price, service level and flight time. Although last return leg was definitely Qantas from HND, and I think JQ to NRT.
Still don't need P1 for lounge access because business max still gets me in.
