No Lounge Access - AY slow to credit!

Annoyingly just got caught by this myself, am currently NOT in the flagship lounge at JFK waiting to fly to ORD via Charlotte. Flying in ‘First’ (booking in I), the most frustrating thing for me is that I am waiting for a Finnair flight to credit that would put me to OWS, flew Lon->HEL->JFK and the LON->HEL has credited yesterday but not the second yet, leaving me 10SC short!

The transatlantic was in economy or business? If business you would have access at JFK and CLT.

Transatlantic was in business, but it was also last week! AY are inconsistent at crediting (hence flight to HEL credited and now both AA flights have credited as well! Still not got those Finnair points!

If the transatlantic flight was in business class and you were connecting same day to a domestic AA flight - in any class (economy included), you have automatic access to AAdmirals clubs and flagship lounges. Just show your inbound business class boarding pass together with the domestic one.

If the domestic flights were the next day (after 6am) or later, unfortunately you would have been out of luck without status.

AA is good at the lounge rules. Friend of mine used it just three weeks ago arriving from ORD on JAL and connecting to AA. I also use it, and AA honours it at connecting ports as well.
