No babies in F

is not the babies money as good as ours??

I would expect the majority of babies in F have their fares paid by their parents - thus their money is non existent.

There is a separate thread on this topic "Should F/J be adults only?"

That is some of the worst corporate spin I have ever seen "We didnt ban babies we just designed the cabin so that you couldn't take a baby in there"... The only argument could be that people could have a lap baby rather than a bassinet baby...

I would encourage all parents thinking of flying with their babies to immediately boycott Malaysia Airlines :D (It's always been one of my favourite airlines, this would make it even better)

I like your attitude =)

Loss of mum and dad business will be very well replemished by travellers happy to know there will be no babies on board.

And they equally will be glad to not be on the same flight as you.

My actual worst experience with a baby on a flight was when I was in Business and they were economy so if I really wanted to void kids I would have charter my own jets. Frankly the sort of posts advocating this just make me want to say "get over yourselves".

Yawn....I have a pefectly good /controllable baby so I'm entiltled to fly F if I wish vs I have paid a lot to fly F and am entitled to a quiet night's sleep (provided the engines can drown out all the snoring in the cabin!). I'm sure MH have done their business (?first) model and have worked out there are more passengers in the latter than former category:idea:.

Disclaimer: The worst flights I have endured have been from Europe to Australia in economy with a cabin full of screaming babies:evil::evil:.

Well fair enough, this attitude is selfish. But the fact of the matter is I'm happier during the flight when there are no crying babies and therefore would prefer flights without babies on board.

Yes one day I'll be on flights with my own kids and yes i'll be very apologetic to the other passengers.

I don't think this attitude is as bad as the reaction to the QF enhancements... I feel they were the folk that needed to get over themselves.

Isn't that why airlines give you noise cancelling head sets to drown out the baby noise. or own a pair yourself for when you have to travel in Y.

Me too. But then you have one - and you don't have a choice!

Baby G at 15 months has traveled to Europe and back twice, with visits to / stopovers in London, Rome, Glasgow, Singapore & Dubai, been to Fiji and done a whole bunch of domestic flights. Most of the long haul in J with two in Y+. I would say she is very well behaved as babies go and pretty familiar with planes, and we do everything we can to try and make sure she doesn't disturb others. Her report cards from fellow J travelers have always been very good.
Even so I still wouldn't take her in F. I appreciate the amount people have paid for the ticket, and that peace and quiet is one the greatest benefits of that cabin. Even my model baby has to cry a few times during a 12 hour flight & it would just not be right in that atmosphere. I guess that's selfish as well - I wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy it.

Some airlines have been known to put the baby in an overhead locker:shock:

NC headphones work for low frequency drone... if lucky they work well against snoring but not a high pitch crying.

The ear plugs are the best bet against crying... or DJ headphones that completely isolate external noise.
